What did Europe learn from the Arab world as a result of the Crusades?
Design a poster to show what the Crusaders learned / brought back from the Holy Land.
You need to include
1. An ‘eye-catching’ front cover with a title and a picture.
2. Detailed written information about at least 3 things which Crusaders learned / brought back.
3. Pictures to illustrate each point.
4. A conclusion which clearly explains which new idea you think was the most important and why. A really good conclusion will identify links between the changes.
Please remind pupils to put a ‘Homework’ subtitle in their exercise books to show where it is. If this isn’t present it’s difficult to see if homework is being set.
Yr 7’s next homework for the rivers topic which are to go on the website as a guide for parents are listed below. The teacher should set homework regularly and amend homework tasks where necessary.
1) Name 12 UK cities and the river they are located on. Don't forget capital letters for places and names.
2) Adopt an overseas river. Write a factfile about it. (e.g. Yangtze, country (ies), source, large cities, mouth, wildlife, etc)
3) Imagine your own home has been flooded by water to a depth of 50cm. Make a list of what is damaged. Classify as: impossible to fix, easy to fix, dangerous or not important.
